Trip to Helen, GA

Hi All!

I wanted to let you all know about the next MINI event on the calander. Several MINI Clubs in the Southeast are coming together the weekend of Feb 23rd and 24th in Helen, GA, including Middle Georgia MINIs, Coastal MINIs, M2C2, AtlantaMINIs, and now us, Lowcountry MINI Club.

The host Hotel for the weekend will be the Helendorf. There are 20 rooms being held for us until Jan 29th. We are getting a small discount if we have 15 rooms reserved (like $5 off or something), but oh well. The rates will be $54/night for a standard room NOT overlooking the river, and $79/night overlooking the river. Rooms with fireplaces and jacuzzis require a two-night stay for between $150 - $170/night.

Well, that's about all I know for now. I plan to leave Charleston around noon-thirty on Saturday the 23rd if anyone is interested in driving-up with me. Otherwise I hope to see you there!

Festival of Lights Drive

Hi MINI Club! It is time once again for our annual drive through the James Island County Park's Festival of Lights. We will meet at about 6:30 in the parking lot across from MINI of Charleston on Tuesday, Dec 11th. Please let me know via e-mail if you would like to attend as we will be purchasing advance tickets (no cost to you); otherwise you are welcome to buy them at the gate. After the lights we will make our usual stop to Santa's Village for smores and such by the fire.

Again, I do need an RSVP if you would like to have advance tickets. Otherwise you will have to buy them yourself.

Savannah comes to Charleston

The Savannah group will be coming to Charleston for lunch and a run on Sunday, August 5th. We will meet about 12:30 in the new Sears parking lot across the street from MINI of Charleston. We hope to see you there!

July 1st Monthly Motoring

Wanting something to do with other local MINI owners???

It is time once again for a haul to Savannah. We will meet in the KMart/Sears parking lot across the street from MINI of Charleston at 7:45 on Sunday, July 1st. Ideally we would leave no later than 8:15. We will meet the Savannah group at about 10:00 at our usual spot at the Starbucks in the 12 Oaks Shopping Center on Abercorn. We are not totally sure where we are going yet . . . Jekyll Island is on the list. If you have any suggestions, please let me know via E-MAIL.

It's Sunday Monthly Motoring Time Again!

This Sunday it's Savannah's turn to come to Charleston. We will all converge in the parking lot across the street from the MINI of Charleston dealership at 12:30-ish. From there we plan to motor through the Peninsula, over the bridge, and through the woods, I mean Mt. Pleasant, out to Sullivan's Island for lunch. After that, we motor! Monthly Motoring and Club Meeting

Hello Lowcountry MINI Club members and other enthusiasts! It's a new year, and that means it's time for new, fun, and exciting MINI Club events!

This Sunday, Jan 7th, will be our first Monthly Motoring of the year. We hope to have a great turn-out for this event. We plan to meet at the Starbucks in the 12 Oaks Shopping Center at 5500 Abercorn St, Savannah, at 10:00AM. From there will will drive through the Savannah Wildlife Refuge and find lunch somewhere (not necessarily in that order). Please see Murray Wilson's web site here for directions. Also, we have our January meeting on the 15th in the MINI of Charleston showroom at about 7:15 or so. We should have decals for everyone featuring the new LMC Logo. We will discuss future events such as a trip to the Tail of the Dragon, a joint MINI/BMW club car show in March, and the next Teen Driving School in April. Bring your planners!
